Please note that in the event of light rain without strong winds or big waves we will NOT cancel any dive trips, as it does not prevent us from having an safe experience. As we use a Charter company they have the last say in whether a trip will be cancelled, if the trip is not cancelled by our charter company the trip will be deemed safe to go ahead. All due care is taken in deciding if the trip is safe and we do always take safety and enjoyment into concideration.

NO REFUND will be issued to the guest in the following circumstances:

In the event of a guest being absent for whatever reason at the scheduled start time of the diving trip / course. In the event that any guest cancels their tour less than 24hours notice period prior to the scheduled start of the program. Also if no payment has been made then full payment is required for the cancelled trip and will be collected from the guet at their hotel. Guests are asked to agree the terms and conditions before the confirmation of booking, therefore monies owed will be collected for a cancelled trip. We always ask the guests to conform with the cancelation policy as we do not wish to get the authorities involved in the collection of money.

When a trip is cancelled on the day CSI Samui Dive School is still liable for Boat Fees, Staff, Tanks, and any transportation cost by mninbus (if arranged) and monies due will be collected.

Diving course refund of un-used portion of the course:

Multi day Diving Course refund policy allows for cancelation at the end of each day of the course. A pro-rata refund will be given for the portion of the course that has not been completed at that time. Please note that the above guidelines are what you should expect as worst case scenario. CSI SAMUI Dive School will do everything possible to keep cancellation / amendment costs to a minimum. Each cancellation case will be individually evaluated by our European management team to determine if there were any conditions that will warrant full refund.

Dive Destinations Tour schedule:

Is subject to change without any prior notice in accordance with weather conditions for your safety. If CSI Samui Dive School knows in advance that the weather on the day you would like to go diving most likely will prevent us from going to the dive destination as schedule, we will advise you as soon as we know and let you decide if you like to change the dive trip to another day or cancel the trip for a full refund. CSI Samui Dive School cannot be held responsible for adverse unforeseen weather conditions, involving rough seas and poor visibility.

Waiver of Liability

All divers must read, fill out, and sign a copy of PADI Travel and Excursions Liability Release and Assumption of Risk agreement before diving services can be provided. Please review the contract with legal counsel and family members prior to booking. Additional waivers may be required for those divers undergoing training, depending on the course requirements imposed by PADI. All Certified divers are advised to have the appropriate insurance for their dive trip. All Instructors and Dive Masters will give full and concise briefings regarding safety issues, depths and dive times before the dives and guests failing to stay within the guidelines of the briefings will do so at their own risk.

Divers Certification and Equipment

Only certified divers may participate in scuba diving activities, unless they are enrolled in a scuba training program and under the direct supervision of their certified Instructor. All scuba divers must accept full and complete responsibility for themselves, their actions, and their equipment. Divers may elect to use their own gear, or arrange to use our equipment. Regardless, divers must inspect their gear prior to each and every dive, and they must be responsible for the proper functioning of that gear. In addition, divers must have a dive plan that addresses the issue of possible in-water equipment failure. All divers should understand the fact that every piece of equipment is capable of failure, and they must be prepared to respond accordingly.

Responsibility and Liability

CSI Samui Dive School, its officers, employees, agents, and contractors are not responsible or liable for any injury, loss, accident, damage, delay, omission, irregularity or nonperformance occurring in connection with these arrangements. The client understands and accepts all risks associated with any and all activities, including both land based and water activities, air travel, car travel, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and boating. Divers are requested to have valid insurance whether privately or as part of their holiday insurance to take part in all underwater activities. CSI Samui Dive School is able to supply insurance upon request by the diver. Divers acting irresponsibly can have an adverse impact on their fellow divers and the diving community. As a result, we will not tolerate unsafe, illegal, or irresponsible behavior.
